Why limit your rainbow hues to summer only, when you can work them all year around? With Bonfire Night just around the corner, I’m taking inspiration from the fireworks and going for Papu Stories winter brights. We’re mixing lilac with carrot orange, monochrome and leafy shades of burgandy and peach and going for Bonfire Night Fashion that will keep the party going on way after the last bang. So, step away from the black, and the grey, navy and brown for that matter. This winter, I dare you to keep your family style colourful.

Papu Stories is a super stylish, super fun Finnish kids label (with a growing adults edit) that is all about graphic colour and print. There is a lot of stretch, which is perfect for bouncy children and unisex pieces, so babies to big boys and girls can all get in the action – that said, I’m not sure Daddy could pull off these orange trousers. Everything’s designed to last, which means you’ll be seeing Lolo in MG’s outfit 3 years from now and even better they’re made from super soft organic cotton.

We’re wearing a mixture of pieces from Papu Stories AW16 collection, called ‘Be There or Be Squared’. As with the brands’ previous seasons, it all centres around a little story. The story for this season is of an edgy square who wants to be more like a smooth circle. It goes to a circle’s party and does everything it can to fit in. After realising everyone looks the same, he finds himself turning back into a square again. How cute, go square!

Now each piece is stunning enough to be worn with other pieces. Yes I shall be rocking my orange carrot pants on the school run, the pom pom beanie is MG’s favourite hat and those fluffy bombers are all kinds of mega! BUT, I hope this Bonfire Night you are inspired to live a winter more colourful. May you eat your candy apples and ride your waltzers in looks as bright as your surroundings. Be the edgy square in a sea of circles.

Thank you to Papu Stories for gifting us these pieces to review. The views held in this post are 100% mine, if I don’t like it, it doesn’t make the blog.
